Accommodations
Scott & Steph, along with their wedding party, some family and friends are going to be staying in a few rentals in Princeville on the North shore. There are several accomodation options available in that area.

Car Rental
At the condos and rented house in Princeville there is little within a short walking distance. We are in a residential neighborhood in on the north shore. There is only one main road that goes around 3/4's of the island. It is only 45 miles long, but can easily take 2 hours to drive when traffic is heavy.
The side roads (which you need to take to get to the good spots on the island like secluded beaches, hiking, adventure, veloci-raptor encounter) are old sugar cane farm roads. Since there has been very little cane farming on the island for the past 20 years, there's no need to maintain these roads.
Because of this, we highly reccomend a 4 wheel drive vehicle for navigating the wet/muddy/holy roads and beaches. FYI, just because you have 4 wheel drive does not mean that your vehicle will not disappear into the puddle ahead of you that turns out to be 3 feet deep! But the adventure of getting it out makes the experience completely worthwhile.
The best deals we've found are through Alamo. They offer an SUV for $375 per week including taxes and fees. Dollar came in second with an SUV for $450 per week.
What to Pack
For the hike out to the waterfall for the wedding ceremony, we recommend you bring a backpack with some water and a snack or two. The trail itself can be navigated in anything from bare feet to mountaineering boots. (Scott has seen it all!) Just keep in mind that there will be spots that are rocky, hilly and wet so use your best judgement. And if you are buying brand new hiking boots for the trip you may want to try to break them in before the hike.
The only people required to dress up for the ceremony are those actually in it. Feel free to stay in the clothes you hike in wearing. If you would prefer to change into something less sweaty, pop a change of clothes in your bag. If you think you might want to treat yourself to a well-deserved swim at the end of the hike, bring your suit! The pool at the waterfall base is huge!
For dinner at the ________ hotel, we ask that everyone wear "Island Cocktail". What the heck is that you ask? Something we totally made up! But seriously, the dress code for the night is slightly dressy: a nice sundress or skirt outfit for the ladies and some dress pants/slacks and a button-down shirt for the guys.
As for the rest of the trip, your dress is up to you! The weather is a pretty constant 75-80 degrees, but gets cooler in the evenings. You may want to pack a sweater and pair of long pants somewhere between all of your shorts and tanks.
Finally, don't sweat the small stuff! It's the rainforest and all, but we're not really that remote! There's actually a WalMart on the island if you forgot your toothbrush or curling iron!
